Project: Carpe Nota, full package.
Carpe Nota (L to R) is Dan Pluta, Ken Sundling, Phil Dernbecher, and Pete Rubinetti. |
What happens when you combine four musicians with a common old high-school dream? You get Carpe Nota, an all original progressive rock band from Eastern Pennsylvania.
Aside from their awesome music, what appeals to the likes of you and I, (and the multitudes of the 40+ somethings out there), is that they decided to pursue their dreams to be a rock band. Not to replace their day jobs, but for the experience itself.
Thus, I was honored that they chose me to build their launch package which consisted of a photoshoot, website, and CD-Rom materials.
Today, CD-Roms are no longer used and there are plenty of free tools out there to for the promo work. However, I treated their group to a full video production and photoshoot, including website and custom graphics.
I brought in a van full gear, and the wives did the makeup and kept the beers flowing.
Vitali Kupri, of TSO, also a friend of theirs, made himself available for coaching and critique.
I also encountered some challenges myself, as change of pace from the usual corporate work and got into the act.
So, we didn't make America's top 40, nor appear on the cover of Rolling Stone. Who cares? We just did it and had as much fun.
